WikiHow.com

Even though everything is wiki these days, this site is addictive!
I have read how to make pumpkin pie straight from the pumpkin, how to do nothing and how to handle your child's temper tantrum.

A quote from the latter: "The only people who find temper tantrums amusing are a child's grandparents—because it’s finally payback time as they watch their grown children struggle helplessly with their own little monsters."

Pretty useful little site.

Came across this little graphic that I thought was cute...

Elliotville, TX
Population: 10

Today, on the way to a pumpkin hunt adventure, I went through a town that had a population of 10! There were no stores, gas stations or even churches. Just 5 farm houses and lots of cows.

After seeing that "town," part of me is grateful to live in a city and part of me wishes for that peace and quiet.

My favorite Ethan sayings (part one):
--"What's his name is?"
--"I luv her" (while hugging his stuffed animal)
--Calls Grandma "Mema" and Grandpa "PoPa"
--When he can't see the moon in the sky he says it is hiding. He starts saying, "Moo-oon?! Where are you?" in a really high pitched voice.

Here's another one. (See my entry before this.)
NaNoWriMo: National Novel Writing Month

Since November is national novel writing month, they have a contest where you have one month to write a 50,000-word novel.

I would do it if I had the time. Maybe next November?
SoLa?

Okay, calling South Congress SoCo was one thing. But, now, South First is SoFi and South Lamar is SoLa?! I also heard that the Triangle area at North Lamar and Burnet were NoBu, but I can't find a written record of that. Yikes!

This is Ethan at the Vancouver Aquarium. The beluga whales were so impressive. I love this photo because if I am feeling stressed out, I look at it and it relaxes me.

I found this link while reading the latest news on the campaigns for TX Governor. (I am a Kinky fan, but will most likely vote for Chris Bell.)

Pretty hilarious...wish I could have come up with it and marketed it.
Reminds me of the great store that was in South Austin before the presidential election of 2004, Two Unemployed Democrats. Looks like they are an online store now.
A photo of me. Actually, this photo was taken by me on a minature train outside the San Antonio Zoo.
